At Qventus, our vision is clear: to provide every health system employee with AI teammates to tackle the below-license work, alleviating the administrative burden and empowering them to deliver highly reliable care for patients. I’m thrilled to share how our latest advancements allow us to do this at scale across the care journey, empowering health systems to meet their strategic growth goals so they can continue providing exceptional care for their communities.

For many hospitals, surgery remains the most significant revenue driver. Yet, despite substantial investments in digital tools, a frustrating reality persists: operating rooms are underutilized, with over 30% of valuable OR time going unused. Surgeons, schedulers, and hospital leaders grapple with constricted access, misutilized time, and a lack of clear insights needed to strategically grow their surgical service lines. Our Surgical Growth Solution directly addresses these challenges, deploying a powerful suite of AI Teammates designed to turn ambitious growth goals into action.

New AI Teammates to Drive Strategic Surgical Growth

I’m proud to announce Qventus’ latest AI Teammates, built via our AI Operational Assistant platform, that tackle specific surgical growth hurdles and administrative burdens. These AI Teammates serve as extensions of your existing teams, working around the clock to optimize every aspect of surgical growth.

  • The Strategic Control Panel allows health systems to strategically deploy our AI teammates to achieve their unique goals, whether it’s optimizing robotics programs, improving OR efficiency, strategically placing cases in the right site of care, or driving overall service line growth.
  • The Clinic Scheduler Assistant: We’re breaking down barriers for independent surgeons by integrating directly into their clinic EMRs. This AI assistant enables schedulers to find time and book strategic cases at our client’s health system with an impressive median turnaround time of just 22 minutes, eliminating scheduling friction and making our partner hospitals the preferred destination for independent practices.
  • The Document Assistant: OR schedulers spend too much time sending faxes and chasing down documents. This AI teammate digitizes, categorizes, and summarizes thousands of pages of faxes, routing them to the correct teams and saving approximately 60 hours of valuable OR scheduler time each month.
  • The Robotics Assistant: For hospitals with significant da Vinci investments, this AI assistant is a game-changer, driving over 10% in incremental robotic volume and reducing non-robotic cases in robotic ORs by 11%.
  • Site of Care Optimization: Our AI intelligently analyzes cases to strategically place lower acuity procedures in outpatient ASCs, freeing up valuable capacity in the main ORs for more complex and high-acuity cases.
  • Enhanced EHR Integration: Building on our deep history of bi-directional EHR integration, we’ve introduced enhanced write-back functionality that eliminates the time-consuming and error-prone process of double data entry, saving an estimated 100 hours per OR Scheduler per month.

These new features are a testament to our dedication to delivering the margins required for our health system clients to achieve their mission of providing exceptional care for their communities.

Proven ROI Driving Strategic Surgical Growth

100% of Qventus clients see Qventus as part of their long-term strategy. Why? We operate in the trenches with every client day in and day out to ensure our solutions are optimized to solve their unique problems so they can achieve their strategic objectives. These 6 new case studies showcase the impressive results health systems are achieving with the help of our Surgical Growth Solution.

  • UHealth saw 36 additional da Vinci cases in Q4 2024 compared to the same time last year.
  • Ardent Health saw a 4% primetime utilization increase, and 41% robotics volume increase.
  • West Tennessee Healthcare saw 9% orthopedic service line growth across commercial payers, and 90% of value driven by independent clinics choosing to bring cases to West Tennessee.
  • Jackson Health System saw a 4.5% increase in primetime utilization and added 2 robotic cases per OR per month.
  • Allina Health added more than 50 robotic cases in the last quarter of 2024 across its 12 hospital campuses and ambulatory surgery centers, and has gained $5.8 million in Qventus-affected contribution margin.

Transforming Perioperative Care Coordination

Beyond strategic surgical growth, Qventus is fundamentally transforming perioperative care coordination with the recent launch of our Perioperative Care Coordination Solution. This solution extends the power of our AI Teammates to every member of the pre-admission testing (PAT) team. These AI assistants effortlessly handle administrative tasks, enabling teams to optimize more patients pre- and post-surgery and significantly reduce costly and disruptive 72-hour surgery cancellations. Early results are incredibly promising, with AI Assistants identifying 20% of patients for pre-surgical optimizations and some partners achieving 75% patient engagement through our AI-powered Patient Concierge.

Working in tandem, our Surgical Growth and Perioperative Care Coordination Solutions represent the next evolution in our commitment to empowering health systems to achieve their strategic growth goals while reducing administrative burden on staff. These two solutions elevate the entire perioperative care journey for both patients and staff, and we are just scratching the surface of what’s possible. I am incredibly excited about the future we are building together with our partners.
