For over a decade, Qventus has been at the forefront of healthcare AI, building solutions that automate care operations and empower care teams to make smarter decisions. I’m thrilled to announce the next chapter in our journey: the Qventus AI Solution Factory.

The challenges facing health systems are immense. Thinning margins, labor shortages, and declining reimbursements are putting unprecedented pressure on our healthcare system. I believe that AI is the answer to these challenges, but only if it’s applied in a way that is both powerful and practical.

That’s why we’ve created the AI Solution Factory. It’s a new way of working with our health system partners to co-develop AI Operational Assistants that solve their most pressing challenges. 

 

The AI Solution Factory builds upon Qventus’ platform, which deeply integrates with hospital electronic health records (EHRs) and uses localized and probabilistic machine learning, behavioral science, and conversational AI to automate end to end workflows. If the Qventus AI Platform is our engine, the Solution Factory is our high-speed assembly line it powers to build a custom AI workforce for our partners so they can ultimately improve care for their patients. 

Qventus’ AI assistants are built from a core set of skills:

  • Chart Mining: Instantly review patient charts and extract the exact data needed for any workflow, with sources cited. 
  • Continuous Risk Determination: Identify and triage at-risk patients around the clock, ensuring no one falls through the cracks.
  • Care Gap Orchestration: Evaluate every patient care plan to identify and resolve gaps to prevent discharge delays, further optimize patients prior to surgery, and more.
  • Intelligent Document Management: Read, process, and route every fax, email, and inbound and outbound communication to the proper downstream team, ensuring alignment and saving valuable time.
  • Patient Concierge: Meet patients where they are at – whether that’s via voice, text, or email to gather intakes, schedule appointments and complete other administrative tasks. 
  • Call Center Assistant: Prepare clinicians for calls with patients, make real-time suggestions during calls, and automate post-call follow-up tasks, while providing continuous coaching and feedback.

With the ability to speak, hear, read, gather, understand, and write, our AI assistants seamlessly incorporate unstructured data and interactions to anticipate the most effective next steps and take action. Qventus Solutions Driving Surgical Volume, Boosting Staff Productivity, and Improving Patient Flow

The AI Solution Factory builds upon strong client results across Qventus’ Surgical Growth, Inpatient Capacity, and Perioperative Care Coordination Solutions. With the Surgical Growth Solution, Northwestern Medicine is unlocking over 1,300 hours of OR capacity each month, contributing to its 15x annualized ROI from the solution. Piedmont is adding 2.5 robotic cases per OR per month – growing its robotic volume 15% year over year.

An academic medical center in the south launched Qventus’ Perioperative Care Coordination Solution in August and has already increased pre-admission testing nurse productivity by over 50% through automating manual tasks, helping nurses prepare for, conduct, and follow up from PAT phone calls, and automatically processing faxes, saving 3 minutes per fax. The AMC also reduced avoidable cancellations by 25% by optimizing more patients before surgery and using Qventus’ machine learning models to flag high-risk patients.

On the Inpatient front, a western academic medical center has reduced mean excess days by 15% and grown discharge volume by 24% by accelerating patient flow. The Qventus Inpatient Capacity Solution automated key components of discharge planning, prioritizes ancillary orders to best support patient flow, and addresses process gaps that impact length of stay.
